Written in the wake of the George Floyd murder, and the Black Lives Matter protests of Summer 2020, “JUST” describes three different takes on justice. The first movement describes the current state of justice: disjointed, ominous, and needing to be resolved. The second movement takes on a more militaristic tone, describing the current movement and marches to attain our idealized version of justice, which is described in the final movement.
